Cat using water dish as baby pool
My one year old boy is dipping his paws in his wather dish (small, cat sized dish) and plays in the water! He loves to splash it all around my kitchen floor.
Does anyone else's cat do this or am I the only lucky one?

my cat does that also!  so much for cats dont like water huh??
I got a tray with high sides so that when he plays with the water, it stays in the tray and not on my floor

Yup, my cat does that with the water dish I had (note the past tense) upstairs. Since I've stopped he hasn't done it. It was a real PITA to clean up and sometimes he begs for the water dish to be filled, but too bad! He has one downstairs for his thirst needs!
ETA: Is it a plastic water dish? My cat loves plastic (I don't know why some cats like plastic), but he doesn't do it with the metal one...

They bathe in it..they play in it...they spill it everwhere..good times

One of our cats looooves water! In the apt he would come running if we were using a faucet... he used to sleep in the sink too LOL
DH now keeps a bowl of water in the bathroom - its in one of those dish tubs so the water doesn't get all over. The cat loves it lol

Our kitties do that.. they also 'bathe' their toy mice and balls in the water when they get 'dirty' - we can walk into the kitchen and all of a sudden there is a toy floating in the water dish..

OMG, He does this too!! He puts everything in his water dish - toys, household papers, etc.
Last week he had a copy of DH's resume in his water dish (DH is looking for a new job). The next day there was one of DH's paystubs....maybe he was trying to send a message haha - or maybe we need to clean up all these papers around our house!
