CC Protection Plan

Has anyone ever had to use it?

DH's UE is going to be running out and if in the event it takes him longer to find a job (he's in school right now) I'd like to know that this protection works and its not some scam.

Also, the CC that we do have is in my name so, do I have to be UE or will it still protect if my DH is UE?

I think I'd feel better off taking my chances and then trying to work out something with the CC company later if I was really in a bind, vs. shelling out more money for something that I could probably get for free by negotiating.
