Does anyone know where the filter is located? ANd if you have to do maintenance on it?

The filter is inside. Depends on each home.
The unit shouldn't need maint. unless something is wrong with it.

Air filter should be in the return vent. Often a large square opening in the wall or ceiling. Disposable ones can be bought at Walmart, Target, HD, Lowes, Sears, etc. I bought washable ones so I don't have to keep buying replacements. I just take them out, wash them off, then put them back.
