cereal in jarred food?

i've been mixing oatmeal and a bit of formula in ds's food but i was wondering if this is making the true taste of the food too bland. is it ok to always do this or should i give him some food without cereal too?

Feeding is such a trial and error thing. If the baby is eating what you are giving him/her, then just keep on doing that

Sometimes I mix the cereal and veggies together for dinner but it just depends. If she's having green beans (which make her poop pretty darn runny), I'll mix them with rice to try to bind it up a little more. You could try buying the oatmeal with bananas already in it and do that for breakfast that way you don't have to mix two things together.
