Changes in poop when transitioning to milk?
We're in the midst of transitioning over to milk. This week is 4oz formula and 4oz milk. I know the poops are supposed to change but in which direction? Firmer or looser? Rylans have been getting looser...not sure if it's normal or if the milk is bothering him.

Looser - definetely. Ryan has had some real doozies the last couple of weeks. We are doing it very slow - last week only replaced 1oz of BM with whole milk per bottle, this week 2oz, etc. But his tummy is still a little upset.

OK...then I guess it's normal. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it which is good.
We're making the switch the same way you are. I started the day he turned 10 months...I added 1oz and up it an once each friday. At 12 months he'll drinking all milk.

I do find he's getting a little bit of a diaper rash - poor tush.
I started at about 11 months - it's taken the pressure off of me to produce so much (pumping) too which has been great. I feel a lot more relaxed about supply and he doesn't seem to mind it at all.
I even gave him a few ounces "straight up" in a sippy over the weekend since I EBF when I'm home and he drank some (not great with sippy cups).

Looser, ped said as long as there is no blood in the diaper it was fine.
We have been on 100% milk for a few weeks and his BMs are different every week, some weeks harder, some looser, teh ped said not to worry its normal.

Definitely looser. Load up on the desitin b/c it can irritate their poor little tushies.
