Changing jobs within a Company
What would make it worth while for you if it was a just a lateral move with just a slight increase in pay?

Re: Changing jobs within a Company
If it was something I enjoyed more or maybe something that could lead to more opportunities down the road.
Maybe for a change of pace, etc

Re: Changing jobs within a Company
I did this because I was getting burned out in my old position. The decision was kind of made for me but it worked out nicely in the end - and for me there was no increase in pay at all (in fact the job costs me more because it's a long drive).

I did this in October. More pay, less work, less stress, no more 24/7 on call, better supervisor, more independence.

I would if it meant advancement and down the road more money.
Lateral moves are ok if the circumstances are right.

The problem is, is that I don't know if it would be more down the road or where the job is actually headed. I am torn.

Re: Changing jobs within a Company
I'm doing this on Monday. It's the same pay, but my commute is only 5 minutes now.
I will also be able to work from home a lot more if I want.
I also was getting burnt out in my current position with a lot of difficult clients. Now I will only be carrying 4 or 5 people and will primarily be in charge of all new intakes.
It will be stressful I'm sure, at times, because I will have deadlines and different responsibilities, but not the same kinds of stressors.
