check it out.... DH's cake: Angry Birds
He didn't think he was getting a cake at all. In fact, I bought him a bakery cake last night and we sang to him....I totally fooled him! He has been making me feel a little guilty about making everyone else a cake but not him. He was oblivious that it was being made and worked on, hidden in plain sight  He woke up and this was on the kitchen counter
Everyone's birthdays are within a 2 week span -- lol, next one isn't til October! After Easter and my dad's retirement, I'm declaring a "cake break!" Thanks for looking!!

Thanks!! It almost reminded me of the reaction when he saw me for the first time at our wedding LOL the gasp, with the hand over the mouth and the "oh my goodness, oh my goodness" It was adorable and definitely made all the late night sculpting worth it!

What did you make it with? Modeling chocolate or fondant? How did you learn how to do that? I've only learned how to work with buttercream and royal icing.

Aw, thanks! I took 1 class on how to roll out fondant flat last summer. I just really started experimenting and playing over the past few months...didn't really "learn" it anywhere... but I wish there was a fancier class to take to learn better techniques...
It's a combination of fondant and modeling chocolate. The grass is buttercream...
Birds, pigs, numbers, eggs: modeling chocolate (if you haven't tried working with it already, it's awesome and tastes yummy, too!)
Bricks, rocks: chocolate fondant
