Christmas gift related for friends: purchased things that may be too small now, WWYD?
I purchased clothes for two of my friends little girls and now it seems that some of the things I purchased *may* be too small by Christmas... I asked what sizes to buy before purchasing and both told me what size. I love giving gifts and I always feel like I have to get the perfect gift so now I keep going back and forth about returning what I bought and getting things in a bigger size.....My DH thinks I'm nuts and said to just give the gift and let them worry about returning/exchanging because after all they did tell me the size I bought. WWYD? Just give it to them or return what you got and rebuy?
(from now on when someone tells me a size I'm buying a size up from that!)

I would exchange it for a size up. I would hate for them to not be able to find it or exchange it after Christmas and get 1/4 of what I spent in store credit.

As a mom, I can tell you that pretty much anything I got for my DC that was too small was either donated or regifted. If you have the chance to exchange it, I'd do that.

if its not too much trouble, i would exchange it for a larger size
however, on the flipside, it if is not convenient for you dont stress over it...you got what they told you to get

I totally agree with this.
I always tell people a size bigger when they ask because I know my kids and I know they grow like weeds.  I also know I don't always have the time to go and return stuff. So if it's too small it either sits in the closet or gets regifted.
