cleaning stainless steel appliance
I just got a new stainless steel fridge & stove. I cleaned the doors of the fridge today because it had tons of fingerprints on it. I used the polish that came with the fridge, but now it looks not as shiny, and darker. The polish instructions said to wipe off the polish with a separate cloth, which I did but maybe I used too much polish and didn't get it all off? Any advice? Now it looks darker than the stove, urgh.

Try using a microfiber cloth and rub it more...like you're buffing a car. I never had mine change color so I'm sure you just didn't get it all off. For the record, I always used Pledge (at the recommendation of my cleaning girl) and it worked great!

Re: cleaning stainless steel appliance
thanks for the suggestion! I buffed it more, actually with a little water and it looks lighter now, a little streaky, but I think next time I clean it I'll use pledge like you said.

I use Sheila Shine Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish with a rag. You only need a tiny little bit.
