Cleaning up old yellowed christening gown
My mom finally found the christening gown I wore and its perfect - except it has yellowed with age- any ideas on how to clean this up? Do I bring to cleaners? Any home remedies?

Re: Cleaning up old yellowed christening gown
Never tried personally but a former co-worker gave her mom's yellowed wedding gown and they said it was not a problem to clean. It does not remove the stains though.
My mom washed mine recently and press it. She just gave it to me. It looks like new.

Re: Cleaning up old yellowed christening gown
I'm using my old christening gown for my dd christening. It had some stains on it and it had yellowed a bit. I bought some oxiclean baby at babies r us and soaked it for a couple of hours and it came out great! You should definately give it a try!

I soaked mine and my DH's in Oxyclean powder and they came out pretty nice.

Re: Cleaning up old yellowed christening gown
My mom had recently cleaned mine for my DD and neices christening. I think she used OXY . I will ask her and get back to you. It came out really good.
