clomid - without IUI?
Do drs. prescribe it without IUI? Please forgive me if this has been asked so many times. Also, do only REs prescribe it? Thanks

My regular OB prescribed it to me without doing IUIs. My RE also prescribed it to me doing IUIs.
Just make sure they're monitoring you

Your OB can prescribe it but I agree with LaurenExp, make sure that they are monitoring you through bloodwork and sonos otherwise you may be wasting your time.

I'm seeing a regular OB until next month, then I switch to the RE. My first cycle of Clomid was a non IUI cycle. Last cycle was with IUI, as will be this cycle.

Yes but I am very well montiored.. I go for a sono within 5 days of AF and then they give me the perscription. Then. I go for sonos starting on day 12 to check follicle growth and get blood drawn about a week after I ovulate.

This is my REs plan for me too I believe. I had to go and get a sonogram w/in 3-5 days of AF coming and take Clomid for 5 days (today is the last day).. then this friday I have to get bloodwork and another sonogram to monitor everything...

Thanks for all the info ladies. I have to get an HSG (ouch) next week and I figured I'll take it from there.
