Closing at the end of the month vs. middle of the month
We have the option of closing at the end of this month or going to the 15th of October.....Just wondering what the pros and cons would be for each. Thanks

Re: Closing at the end of the month vs. middle of the month
If you close at the end of the month you pay fewer days interest at closing.
speak with your mortgage person for exact numbers.

you might also want to find out if the taxes will be paid anywhere in that time period - - could change what you have to escrow.

Re: Closing at the end of the month vs. middle of the month
I can use my situation as an example. We contracted to close on the 28th of the month.... I would have had to pay taxes and insurance for the 29 and 30.
We are now set to close on the 21st...I'll be paying taxes and insurance for the 21st through the 30th.
For a little while they were talking bumping it up to the 11th!!!! That would have cost us approximately 300 bucks more.
Just some #'s to give you an example.
