I'd wear heat tech tights (black) with boots and a dress. Solid color with nice accessories. Simple and comfy

For a work holiday event I wore a short black sweater dress with a crochet overlay that made it a little fancier than a plain sweater dress. Still pretty simple though.
Paired it with merlot colored heels for some color and blingly jewelry.
For Christmas day I usually wear a work type dress...wrap dress or sweater dress with boots.

Same as I would wear on a normal day. I don't dress up for the holidays.
