Clothing question - kind of long - re: fitted clothes when pg
This is somewhat of a paranoid question - I know But, here goes.
I am now 23 weeks and definitely have a pretty big belly. I generally wear pretty fitted clothes pg because I find they look a million times better. But, I am starting to worry if there is such a thing as "too fitted." For example - Yesterday I wore my gap long and lean jeans they are a size 4 as I was pre pregnancy and I like the fit and they are def. not tight in general but the waist band is def. pretty snug-and that is how this type of waist band is on all the gap bottoms i own - i think its called the demi panel. I also wear with it the bella band because as the day goes on despite the waist band being comfortably snug the jeans start to slip and i hate having to pull them up every two min. So anyway, I have on the snug waistband, the bella band (which I think is pretty tight too) going from a little below the waist of my jeans to my bra band (so you don't see the line under the shirt) and a fitted shirt.
Now I have barely felt the baby move and I am paranoid that maybe my clothes were too tight and I suffocated the baby? Or maybe I injured a body part from squeezing him in there? Also, I bought seven jeans and the size that fit the waist band was sooo tight that I just took the elastic out of it.
My question is - am I being overly paranoid or can tight clothes be harmful? If you made it this far, thanks for reading and for your help, in advance

I don't think the the bella band w/the demi panel would be too tight. I would think its impossible to suffocate the baby with out being in pain yourself.
I get concerned when my pants dig into me (like last week I tried to wear a pair of normal pants that were always big on me pre preggo and the button/zipper area was low and digging into my pelvis). Not pleasant!
I think your fine as long as your comfortable!!

I always wore very fitted clothes - I didnt like the tenty maternity clothing - I felt it would make me look fat - not pregnant.... I say go for it...
As for tight clothes suffocating the baby - there is no way you can suffocate the baby! Your baby is in there pretty tight to begin with - wait til you see how they swaddle your newborn in the hospital!!! I have lain on my belly in my 20th week and felt the baby squirm - he hated it - but I never hurt him...
There are going to be days when you feel the baby less than other days - if you dont feel movement at ALL in a 24 hr period, call your dr - but Cailen would move every other day - he would rest one day and then move non stop the next day...
