I hear that you bleed a lot and I want to be prepared. What kind of pads do you ladies recommend? I haven't bought pads since middle school and I looked the other day and was overwhelmed with the selection. Any recommendations?

Oh, they'll give you a bunch of the big mama jammas at the hospital Chat Icon
After a day (for me anyway) I didn't need more than a regular maxi. I used the nighttime ones (because they're long) with the wings.

I actually wore the huge hospital ones for the 1st day or 2 home, then went to the Always Overnights.

I used the ones at the hospital too - and grabbed a few pkgs for home - I used them for a week, then actually moved onto pantyliners... I bought the Always, but wound up not even using them...

I think I used two kinds of Always with wings....the overnights (but thin) and and I think the ones for heavy flow with wings

One had a light green wrapping and the other was a light orange wrapping

Always overnights. The Always super long with wings are basically the same as the overnights too.

my dr recommended disposable underwear (like for incontinence), which was actually a nice suggestion (didn't have to worry about messing my own undies, pretty easy for those awkward first days or 2) - except I had a ton left over.. lol..

I took a zillion of the "chucks" from the hospital and used those under some regular super maxi pads, oh, what fun that was.

I used the hospital ones for about 3 days, then switched to the overnights for about 2 or 3 weeks....
