Re: CNN poll I thought was interesting, so I re-created [Poll]
I am voting for Obama because I feel that his policies and ideas are exactly what this country needs right now.
But I feel even more secure in my decision because John McCain is all over the road. I feel that he says one thing, waits to see what the people have to say about it, and then goes and changes it later and claims he never said what he said before
And then Palin...she was the nail in the coffin for me. No pun intended...of course.

I agree with everything said here. I also read a lot about John McCain's past and do not have respect for some of his decisions both personally and professionally. I have a LOT of respect for Obama. He has been able tp run his campaign with a minimum of insulting and derogatory commentary which I cannot say for McCain/Palin. I LOVED filling out my absentee ballot with Obama marked off. I think we will see a big change in our country for the better if/when he wins

Very interesting poll. While I really like Obama, I think I am more anti-republican than pro-Obama.
I have always been that way though and will never pull the lever for anyone on the republican ticket.

Awesome poll!
And honestly, I'm kind of a combo of two choices. I'm voting for policy and because I'm against a candidate.
Me too

So, according to these results, if McCain wins it's because people don't like Obama. More of McCains votes are against Obama than FOR McCain himself.
I sincerely hope those voting against Obama are voting against his policies that they researched, and not because they believed one of the 45 false e-mails circulating about him (I just counted them on snopes when I had to send my stepmom a rebuttal to one of the false e-mails)

Re: CNN poll I thought was interesting, so I re-created [Poll]
I think if you are really about the issues, it goes hand in hand. No matter what nonsense would come up, or reasons to dislike McCain (PALIN!!), issues alone make it impossible for me to vote for McCain. However, I love Obama, I haveloved him since 2004, and 2 years ago, before he announced, many people asked me what my avator "Run, Barack, Run" was about. Now you know.
It does really disturb me that there are a lot of people who are against Obama just because of all of the lies and fear-mongering.

I would say that about 90% of me is voting for Obama because I believe he will be an excellent President.
The other 10% of me is completely, adamantly against John McCain ONLY because of his selection of Sarah Palin. No matter what happens, I'll always be disgusted by that choice when there were other Republicans, men and women, who were more qualified to be in the VP spot.
ITA Though, I still agree more with Hillary's policies, I believe that Obama will be a much more successful president than McCain.

For the first time in my voting life, I'm voting FOR the candidate I strongly support instead of against the other candidate or choosing the lesser of two evils.

Re: CNN poll I thought was interesting, so I re-created [Poll]
Forget it. I'm staying out of this.
Just PLEASE could everyone give people on this site the benefit of the doubt that they are intelligent and well informed and simply disagree, rather than imply that those who disagree with you could only do so because they believe the stupid crap circulating? I've seen crazy emails on both sides and I'm tired of hearing that I'm voting one way because I'm an idiot. (Not directed at anyone in particular, just a general, ongoing undertone of many posts over the last few weeks.)

Re: CNN poll I thought was interesting, so I re-created [Poll]
I am voting McCain because I support many of his policies. I am not a die hard republican or democrat, I tend to sway to the middle. So I like that McCain is more moderate. Obama is way to liberal for me. But if he wins, I do not think it's the end of the world. I am not against him, I think he's a nice enough person who has the best interest of the country at heart. I just believe in McCain more.
