OMG, i'm loving it!!
Has anyone else been watching? It's a tiny bit cheesy, but it totally makes up for it in other ways.
I think it was really well done, and they've already announced a 2nd season
I was a HUGE William Zabka fan back in the day

DH and I are watching it although he watched 2 episodes w/o me...bum. Its really good though!!
I was just saying im a little surprised at how straight laced and uptight Ralph Macchio's character is. but we'll see how this plays out.

I totally agree - it is really good in general but I cringe at some of the cheesy parts LOL!!!!!!

My husband and I are watching it together. We die laughing through half of it. It's one of those "it's so bad it is soooo good" shows. We love it. The part where Ralph kicks the bubble tea out of the guys hand was HILARIOUS

my DH signed up for a month free trial and was able to access it. So try doing that.sign up for a month and binge watch.

We crammed almost the whole season lastnight.
I have 2 more to watch; I just couldn't stay up past 11:30.........
At times; I thought it was a little cheesy like how they re-created the scenes with Miguel and Samantha in the amusement park and in the photo booth.....as if it was Daniel and Allie from Karate Kid. I'm finding many similarities.
But I love it so much. Otherwise, I would've lost interest in bingewatching it.
I gotta say; I look at Johnny in a different light now.

I think because Johnny kinda got stuck in the 80's. Especially with his car.
That's what I figured, but funny how handy the Walkman was and in such good condition.
Love the show though! Feel like a kid again! LOL

I actually liked how they turned things around. Made sense bc even though we see a softer side of Johnny we know that Cobra Kai isn't the best method to teach karate. Miyagi's way is better. I guess depending on who you ask. LOL!
Robbie became less angry bc a lot of the yoga and concentration. Miguel got angrier bc that's what CK teaches you.
I laughed at so much though! The scene in the car and I didn't notice, but when they announced Daniel Larusso is going to be a sensay (sp) they did it like they did back in 84 when he yells "Daniel Larusso is gonna fight? Daniel Larusso is gonna fight!
Oh, and the banana rama pancakes. DH pointed out a lot to me that I had to rewind and then came back to me. LOL

I do love a lot of the reminiscing though. Ralph was so tiny back then with his tiny lil butt.
. Its funny the stupid things you realize 30+ years later.
