cold remedies for a 5 1/2 month old??

my poor DD has a bad stuffy nose and is coughing and sneezing watery eyes... I feel so bad for her...
anyway I called and left a message for her Dr. this am. and I'm still waiting for a call back for now I have vicks baby rub and saline nose spray is she old enough for me to give it to her or should I just keep waiting for the Dr. to call back??
What do you give your 5-6 month old DC's when they have a cold??

Saline drops can be used for newborns so that should help a little with the congestion. We also use a cold mist humidifier or keep her in the bathroom when we shower for the steam to help. My little one is 5 months and dealing with a cold too

ETA I have also used the vicks baby rub a few times at night since it says 3 months and up on the jar

Warm mist humidifier, saline drops, plenty of cuddling and resting with mommy (seriously) and plenty of fluids.

my son just turned 5 months and he had a really bad cold last month. we were at the dr once a week for 3 weeks, we used the saline spray, and benadryl. it helped dry his nose up a bit.

We used the vicks baby rub on her chest and feet bottoms. We have a cool mist humidifier too. Other than that, it just has to run it's course.
