Coming off BCP
I have been on the pill for about 5 years. DH and I are finally going on our honeymoon in October. So I was going to come off the pill after that......my question is, how long after you come off BC do you have to wait until TTC?

My Dr told me 3-4 months. My cousin came right off the pill and a month later she was preggo.

I was on the pill for 9 years. My doctor said we could start TTC as soon as I went off. I got pregnant the month after I stopped taking the pill. The only thing my doctor suggested was to start taking a multivitamin with at least 400 mcg of folic acid at least 3 months before TTC.

I was on for 16 yrs and was off 3 months before finally getting pg.

i was on it for 12 years - she said that i may not ovulate my first month off of it - but that we could start trying right away.
everyone is different - you may ovulate, you may not - it may take a while for your body to regulate, it may not...

I've been on the pill for 6 years and I came off last month. We would have starting TTC right away, but I havent gotten AF so far. Hopefully within the next few months I'll get back to a normal cycle.
It seems some women come off the pill and have no problems, but for many it takes a few months before they can even get their period again.

My doctor said we could start TTC right away! She said some people are even more fertile the first month.
