Sorry Jenn!!! People are stupid and I really think that they don't think before they speak! I don't care what country you are from, it's not nice! Plus, I'm sure he is here long enough to know that it's not nice to say!
Please I had a co-worker make me go buy a pregnancy test cause she was convinced i was pregnant and she convinced me that i was too.....ummm....no i just hadn't gone to the gym in quite sometime and put on an extra few pounds!!!

i have to say for a lot of people in my family--they think its okay to comment on weight. (i'm puerto rican/peruvian) i can not tell you how often at family GTGs where so many aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. have no problem saying "omg how big you've gotten!" or "wow you azz is getting bigger, be careful you don't want to lose your husband!" they honestly think they are helping -- when in reality they are not
i'm a big girl but i love slender/skinny guys. just my thing. i remember going to my niece's christening and my sister's cousin was looking at pics i had brought of myself and my BF at the time. she looked at the pics and said "Oh wow! he's like....SKINNY...like really skinny!" and i was like "yeah" and she said "Wow, he doesn't like...have a problem with you....being...um..u know....." and i just said "Um....NO" and she turned to her husband and said "See sweetie there ARE guys out there who don't mind! we could find someone for your sister!"
yeah -- seeing as it was a party-- i held in my desire to punch her. but later on i let her know that wasn't cool at all. she didn't "get it" -- some ppl are stupid

that's terrible- but just brush it off as he's an idiot.
I was at my dry cleaners once (they are asian) and this lady in front of me needed a pair of ripped pants fixed. The dry cleaning lady was like- your too fat, they don't fit! I couldn't believe it, the lady was like- no they fit fine, i ripped them on something. i think some people don't say it to be mean, to them it may be like- oh, you cut your hair!
