No, it's not all there. It's not close to WP.
Tuckahoe - 15 - 20 minute drive away on the Bronx River Parkway.

Might you be able to elaborate on what's what in Hartsdale?
What's the drive from HDale to WP like, time wise?
And 15-20 minutes isn't too bad. I'm thinking if I wanted to go out in WP how bad would the drive be...That's doable imo.

Hartsdale Ave has a Rite Aid, a Chase, a handful of restaurants, a bagel place, a vet or dog groomer (can't remember what), a dry cleaner (I think) - it's only 2 blocks or so - not much more for anything.
Hartsdale to WP - under 10 min. It's close.
You could also catch the last train out of WP to Hartsdale (it's just the next stop) or cab it.

a vet or dog groomer
Both! Next door to each other.
In additon to Rite aid, the dry cleaner, & NYSC, there is also a hair salon, nail salon, a hair & nail salon, tanning salon, small clothing store, art school/store, 3 banks, a florist, liquor store and an old school pharmacy.
Everything else is food/drink & there are a few empty stores.
There is more stuff on Central Avenue, which is about a half mile from the train station, but there is nowhere near as much as in White Plains.

I don't mean to further complicate things for you, but have you looked into Harrison or Mamaroneck? They both have smaller trainstatioons where you could probably find parking on neighborhood streets if you weren't withn walking distance. Bth have smaller towns with restaurants and bars and it's within a 10 minute drive to White Plains.

THIS is the key kind of information I'm looking for.

This is great information too.
I'm sort of torn on whether I want to live in a more urban like area like WP or if I want to be a little more suburban like Hartsdale (which is still pretty close to WP).
Knowing that Hartsdale has some commerce is helpful.

To be honest, I haven't checked out Mamaroneck; reason being I've heard it's a bit more expensive and if I can't find a place within walking distance of the train station I'm screwed for parking.
Harrison just never popped up on my radar. If you have any information you can share about it, I'd really appreciate it.
And you haven't complicated anything more!
