COnceiving boys & eating cereal for breakfast
Is this true..I read an article that those who eat cereal ie. wheaties are more likely to conceive a boy. Anyone heard this?

another old wives tales - fathers who are heavy meat eaters will have boys vs. fathers who likes veggies and fruit will have girls

Saw this on a morning news segment....I think GMA...a few months ago and my hubby was trying to shove cereal down my throat for weeks...the theory behind it was that, in the olden days, ones who ate better breakfasts, gave birth to boys because that was the favorable sex to have, because of the need for hunting and protecting...honestly...I think its crap

My DH ONLY eats meat (red meat 7 days a week) and we are having a girl....total nonsense.....lol...

Women do not determine the sex of the baby no matter what they eat.
Plus I believe I heard this before, and they said that 50% of the women who eat cereal will have a boy...ummmm it's already a 50/50 chance.

The idea behind it was that if women eat breakfast every day they they produce a more friendly environement for the Y sperm.
I don't hold much truth in it though, I don't think their study was big enough to be conclusive.
Its not an old wive's tale though.

A recent study did indicate that women who ate breakfast cereal every day were more likely to concieve boys.
ETA: The woman actually does have a lot to do with gender determination. The more acidic she is, the more likely she is to have a girl (X sperm do better in that environment), the more alkaline she is, the more likely she is to have a boy, becuase Y sperm thrive in an alkaline environment.

I read that article too. I think it's pretty funny though... I was a cereal WH0RE in my 1st trimester [I actually have 4 boxes of different cereal sitting on my desk right now!] but I am having a girl!

Im with Pickles. Its amazing what a little lobbying can do. Cereals are BIG business.
I frankly couldnt care less what a study says. 50/50. You get what you get and you don't get upset - simple life lesson.
Though I suppose if I had a boy after eating Frosted Flakes, I'd have to name him Tony.
Imagine if I had my IUI's with meds and ate Rice Krispies when I surged? OH DEAR:

My mom ate a healthy breakfast, including lots of cereal everyday...AND HAD 5 GIRLS...and 1 boy...its CRAP
