Re: COnceiving boys & eating cereal for breakfast
of course not.......
it's random chance.... roughly 1/2 of DH's swimmers are Y's and half are X's.... all eggs are X's....
there's no food or position that promotes the Y's movement over the X's.... it's primarily chance.
the only thing that has the tiniest chance of being true is the theory that Y swimmers are faster because they're lighter (Y is a tiny chromosome, and X is HUGE and heavier).... so if you BD at the exact moment you're fertile, the Y's MAY swim faster than the X's and you MAY have a slight increased chance of having a boy.
The 2nd part of that theory is that the Y swimmers burn out faster... so if you BD the day before you're fertile, more X's could be around, and you could get a higher chance of getting a girl
I will say though, that the weight differential must be tiny, so I can't really visualize how Y's could be faster.... and I can't see the logic of why X swimmers would live longer in the uterus than Y's...
suffice to say I think it's all just up to chance, and we can't manipulate it....

Re: COnceiving boys & eating cereal for breakfast
I LOVED cereal when I was pregnant and I had a little girl.
But, I actually just read that women who skip breakfast are more likely to have a boy. I do not know if this has any truth to it.
