Re: Converting from electric to gas stove
Iim going to. We arent living in our house yet and I grew up on gas so the electric stove is going. My DH had to call and found out they offer 50% the unit and someone has to put it it. You also have to find out if your area has gas available.

Re: Converting from electric to gas stove
We did this before we moved into our house. Keyspan ran the line outside for free and they require you to get a licensed plumber to do the work inside and you have to get it inspected by the town.

Re: Converting from electric to gas stove
do you have any gas service in the house already? If so, it's just a matter of running the pipes....not really a big deal.

Re: Converting from electric to gas stove
If there isn't any gas service in the area (which is true in some parts of suffolk) you have to have propane tanks hooked up.
