converting oil to gas heat
How do I find out if there are gas lines in my neighborhood? Any ideas on how much it would run to convert from oil to gas?

Re: converting oil to gas heat
I would call National Grid and ask them.
Not sure how much it would cost.. i think its quite a bit. we are converting now but we already had service in the house and are doing a lot on our own and FIL is a plumber. My father is converting now too but didnt already have service in the house. I think he is getting a very good rebate on the boiler because of the convert, but you will have to talk to National Grid about it. The biggest pain is getting your oil tank out.

Re: converting oil to gas heat
I have a friend who just did this and he said it cost about $6k. He thinks it was worth it. I'm not sure about how to find out about gas lines.
