Cooperstown Roadtrip
I'm looking to suprise DH with a weekend trip to Cooperstown for his 30th in September. Does anyone have any hotel and/or activity recommendations other than the Baseball Hall of Fame.
THank you!

Re: Cooperstown Roadtrip
College will be session - Oneonta is a fairly large town in the area (I went to College there). If you want a not so fancy restaurant to eat at, but with good food and and great prices, go to Brooks BBQ. It's between Coopertown and Oneonta off of I-88. The food is delicious!!!
There are a lot of state parks in the area to go hiking, or just to have a nice picnic at.
In Cooperstown, there is of course the Baseball Hall of Fame, and a lot of other historical places to visit in the area.
Click this link - and then select "Things to Do" and it will show you and names and addresses of places to visit in Cooperstown.

I LOVE Brooks!!! We always try to find a good chicken/ribs bbq place, but nothing compares!

Re: Cooperstown Roadtrip
I just bumped a thread I started last spring! We wound up cancelling the trip because it was much further than I had anticipated.

Re: Cooperstown Roadtrip
We are staying at Creekside Cabins in Roscoe for 3 days and we are taking a roadtrip from there up to Cooperstown. It is soo beautiful. The town is so nice and the lake is gorgeous.
We might stop at Howe Caverns on the way but not sure yet.
