Cough in a 2 year old?

My 2 year old has had colds before but it's never turned into a cough like he has now. Is there anything I can give him? It seems like all the cold medicines are for 4 and up. What do you all do? We already run the humidifier at night with the vicks vapor pad in it.

Baby vicks on the feet with socks helps stop the cough..it really helps. Also lots of steam from the shower and suck the boogies out as much as you can. Hope he feels better!!

DDs cold just turned into a pretty bad cough. We have been using the humidifier, vicks and suctioniong her as much as possible. She actually had a scheduled appt at the ped and they now have us giving her a nebulizer treatment to help. She also told us to give her mucinex to help break some of it up (she gave us the dosing info since the box indicates from ages 4+). DDs cough already seems to have gotten better in the past few days.
