Could this be a symptom of a blood clot? UPDATE!
DH just told me that he's been feeling a pinch in his upper right thigh followed by warmth in the area, every once in a while since yesterday morning. The only thing I can think is maybe it's a blood clot? He says he feels fine otherwise and doesn't want to make a big deal out of it, but should I make him go to the doctor tomorrow?
Update: thanks for all the responses! DH was stubborn and refused to go to the ER but I dragged him to the dr as soon as the office opened this morning and we found out its just a pinched nerve, thank God, but that he DOES have high blood pressure that he needs to watch. But I'm so relieved it wasn't anything serious! Thanks again for the helpful responses!

ITA. Does your health insurance company have an emergency nurse line? You could call that too, but I would go to the hospital. gl
ETA: So I put the symptoms you wrote, pain in leg and warmth into the Webmd.com symptom checker for a man age 35-44 and the top two answers were muscle strain and blood clot. They said to go to the ER now.

Re: Could this be a symptom of a blood clot? UPDATE!
Yes, it is a symptom.
I saw your update and you said that he dr said he had a pinched nerve.
You still need to be vigilant, DVT misdiagnoses happen ALL THE TIME. I went to the doctor, they did an ultrasound but found nothing. He said I strained my leg. 1 week later I went to the ER. They retook the ultrasounds, still found nothing. Some bloods came back suspicious and they decided to give me a CT of my lungs.
They did that and they found massive bilateral PEs. I had no chest pain, shortness of breath or anything. I had a charlie horse in my leg that wouldn't go away.
They said they were surprised that I was still alive.
If this pain doesnt go away in a few days, you should goto the ER.

I'm sorry that happened to you and I'm glad you're okay! I will tell definitely be constantly asking DH if he still feels ok for a while. He said he doesn't feel it now, it was just on and off and that now he feels fine. The dr. is sending him for bloodwork and she wants to see him back again in a few weeks. So we'll definitely follow up with it. Thanks for your input!
