could this be my mucus plug? sorry tmi
I asked on pregnancy but figured I might get more response on here since you have all been through this already.
I felt a small gush and went to the bathroom and on the paper and on my panties there was a fairly large amount of brownish discharge that was kind of watery. Not really mucusy though - more watery. I'm 38w 2d and was just about 3cm on Tuesday and 50% effaced.
What do you think? Should I call doc?

Has it happened again since? I lost it in pieces..not one time. But it was definitely mucousy..(sorry TMI).
If it was watery though maybe it was your water? I would call if it continues to come out!

a small gush could be your water, i woulf go get it checked...could be parts of the mucus plug too but if its your water you could get infected...

Call DOC asap....tell her what happened she'll get you in for a sono to check your fluids. Mine broke when I sneezed.Good luck and keep us posted

A small gush could be your water breaking. I would def. call the dr and go get checked. When my water broke, it was a small gush....then a couple more small gushes...and continued to be small gushes throughout my labor (I hate being wet---so it was really weird!)

It doesn't sound like your mucus plug. You had an internal at your appointment right? It's probably from that.
ETA: I missed the gush part...could be leaking amniotic fluid, probably worth a phone call.

My mucus plug was like a big snot that I lost over several days. It definitely wasn't a gushing sensation.

Mucus plug is usually just that - mucuosy and tinged with brown or red. Mine looked like a big blob of brown-tinged snot
