OMG never ever ever in a million years!!!!
Although my nanny did that, and apparently it's seems very common with other nannies. From what she's told me, she and her husband divorced and the kids live with her husband and MIL. Now they are 17 and 21 I think but she's been in the US for about 7 years or so - so she left when they were teenagers. She came here to the US to make money and sends it home to them all the time. She speaks to her kids almost everyday and tells them what to do and they seem to listen to her. It's absoloutely bizarre to me, but she has some other nanny friends in the neighborhood who have the same situaion.

My Mother won't move to Florida because she can't leave us behind and we're 41 and 48!!
