COVID and blood type link and question for those who have had or a family member has had Covid
What do you think of this?
For those of you that had COVID in your house - did this play out this way?
Link
I have heard mixed things in real life as to first hand experience...nothing that fully supports...

Re: COVID and blood type link and question for those who have had or a family member has had Covid
There's always an exception I guess and I have the worst luck so that prob explains it, but I have O and I was the sickest in my house. My youngest had it bad too, but (I'm gonna sound like the worst mother in the world) I can't remember his blood type. My husband is type A and he didn't get a cough at all. He had cold like symptoms for maybe a week while we were sick, but we were sick for almost 2 months. So he could have been asymptomatic and actually just got a cold or the cold could have been when he had covid. We aren't sure.

My father in law is a type O and had no symptoms (and has severe underlying conditions).

i heard this a while ago. didn't know it was still being looked at.
i'm going to be very selfish here and pray that it is 100% true. my son is 0+ (as am i). i'm hoping that his exposure was a moot point and his test comes back negative.

Did your husband test positive too?
Gosh I’m so sorry you went through that! Are you totally ok now?

I only know my own blood type and I am A+ and I was asymptomatic.

I wish they knew if people could get reinforced, and if so, if people who have been asymptomatic will always be.

Re: COVID and blood type link and question for those who have had or a family member has had Covid
My dad who is a generally healthy 76 year old had antibodies. Had a "headache" for four days and a cough for a lot longer. No fever.
Type O blood.

Re: COVID and blood type link and question for those who have had or a family member has had Covid
I did not have the virus in my house, but my coworker did. Family of 5. Two people with Type A got severely ill, remaining 3 people type O - one had practically non-existent case (currently testing for very limited anti-bodies), the other 2 had mild cases.
