COVID testing - where?
DH has a doctor's appointment coming up with a specialist who will not see him without a negative covid-19 test no more than 5 days prior to his appointment.
DH would prefer to get the rapid testing done, but we can never seem to get an appointment at AFC.
Any suggestions on where to go? He doesn't have a primary doctor (which is a whole other issue )

COVID testing - where?
Is Jones Beach still testing? I think all urgent cares are doing testing now.

I don't think so, it's all summer beach use now.
OP- any urgent care will do it. Try City MD

I was just at CityMD and pro-health urgent care within the past week (for non-covid issues) but all the signs said at least 7-10 days for results.
OP - I would just try calling around to the pharmacies doing testing. I keep hearing that results within a few days isn't possible, but I know people that said they got the instant test from either their GPs office or a CVS.

Make sure the doctor considers the rapid test to be acceptable. I had a procedure and they said no to rapid test since it is too unreliable.

Thanks for the heads up! I called and the first person I spoke to said the rapid test was acceptable then I was told "let me just double-check" it turns out the person she asked said it wasn't!

Stony Brook is still doing the testing. You should get the results in 48 hours if not call bio labs they will give results over the phone.
