CoWorker Wedding Gift Question

My coworker is getting married in 2 weeks & I need to send a gift. We are not close, but do speak at work

DH & I will NOT be attending. This is my coworkers 2nd marriage & the bride's first. They DID NOT come to our wedding.

We are getting them a GC to the store they registered but I was unsure of amount?

Re: CoWorker Wedding Gift Question

I said $50. It is a thoughtful gift, I wouldn't spend too much if I didn't speak with them outside of work and i'm sure they will appreciate the gesture.

Re: CoWorker Wedding Gift Question

I said $75 - just due to the fact of the expense of life right now at stores, etc. But anything btw $50-75 would be sufficient.

I went with other. What about getting something from their registry, if not I would go with $75.

Re: CoWorker Wedding Gift Question

Ok, I voted before I read the thread. I thought you were asking how much to give. Sorry.

Anyway, I think a $50 gift of the registry is more then approproaiate, especially if you wont' be there.

Re: CoWorker Wedding Gift Question

I got $200 from my coworkers.

ETA: I just reread your post. If you're not attending, I think $50 is just fine. Do what you can afford. Coworkers who couldn't attend sent me $50 and $100 each.
