Cracked Ipad screen
Does anyone know a place or website where I can have my Ipad 2 fixed (cracked screen) at a reasonable price?.....
I called a place in Syosset and was told $225...way too much....When I called Apple they told me a legit place should charge no more than $100-$150....

Your first replacement by apple if u got it through them should be free. Mine was
Your second cracked screen should be abut 150
Anything after that is about 300

I went back to Apple around 2 months ago, and it was the first time I cracked mine, they charged me 299 dollars, and gave me a new or reconditioned Ipad. I Think they changed the way they used to fix them. A few people there who had the same problem were pretty upset at how much they charge to fix it. You could try PlayNTrade, I just saw an ad for them that says they fix cracked Ipads.

they must have changed their policy... my screen has been cracked 3x and i paid once like i said above. i am not bringing it back the 3rd time, because the iPad is now my kids, more or less.

YUP...they changed their policy....its 270 for a refurbished one....Im going to look into playntrade....thanks!

I just paid 270 for a new one through apple. Ive only had it a month. I wish I would have known.

Try them. I can't find the Apple iPad repair list on their website but maybe give them a call.
DH had his PS3 repaired there after it gave him the light of death. It had a game in it plus he never saved his played games on the network, so it was worth it for him to send it in (rather than lose his 60 hours spent on Final Fantasy and Gran Turismo). It came back working and with a warranty. He was very pleased with them.
