Cradle cap

Kiera has a very small amount and I want to treat it before it gets too bad. What have you used to treat it?

Re: Cradle cap

What I did with my daughter is that I would put baby oil before I shampoed her hair and then use a brush to take it all off.
It worked, she doesn't have any more.

I did the same thing, but instead of a brush, I just used a dry washcloth and wiped it off.

I did the same thing, except I used a toothbrush after the baby oil. Worked great!

Re: Cradle cap

Did you buy the cradle cap stuff or did you just use oil? And what kind of oil did you use?

Re: Cradle cap

Claire had very bad cradle cap. I tried olive oil and baby oil with a brush and comb but it always came back. To finally get rid of it I had to use the Gentle Naturals cradle cap cream, I rubbed it on, then a few minutes later used a fine tooth comb (didn't hurt her at all) to get it all off. Once I used the special lotion it was gone in 2-3 days!

Re: Cradle cap

Marissa had cradle cap and it kept going away and coming back so what I did aside from using the baby oils and the cradle cap creams my doctor told me to use head and shoulders shampoo and let it sit on her head a little bit so I would lather up her hair then wash her body then rinse her off completely and would take a fine tooth comb and comb through her hair with in a couple of days it was gone
