cradle cap on forehead?
Sidney all of sudden has really bad flaky skin on her forehead and b/w her eyebrows. Nothing on her head though. All the treatments i read say to wash hair with oil. Should i rub oil on her forehead and b/w her eyebrows...seems too close to her eyes. Seems o get a little worse every day now. I've tried baby lotion and doesn't seem to work.
Suggestions?

Re: cradle cap on forehead?
I would put baby oil and massage it into marissa head. Then I would comb through her hair I would leave it in over nite and the next morning I would wash it out with a little head and shoulders and it cleared up with in 3 days.
Marissa had flakey skin on her cheeks and I would put aquaphore on her cheeks

Re: cradle cap on forehead?
My cradle cap on the forehead lessened when the cradle cap on the head went away - I never put anything on the forehead. I used baby oil and olive oil with a fine tooth comb on his head and neither worked for him. Finally, my dr recommened Neutrogena T Gel shampoo and a soft tooth brush once a week (but I did twice) and it all went away quickly. Just be careful with the eyes but I never had an issue. At 7 months I still use it once a week because occasionally it creeps back when I don't use it.

yes its the regular one for adults- I put it by his eybrows but I have to be careful it doesnt get in his eyes becuase it burns. It really works though he has it really bad.

Re: cradle cap on forehead?
like niecey - my ped recommended a dandruff shampoo...but seluem blue...
i took a TINY bit on my inger and rubbed it on his forehead and wiped it off with a wet washcloth (its easier not to do this in the bath so it won't run in their eyes..
I do it in the bath for the top of his head...but I dilute it since he gets a little freaked by the tingle...
