Cradle cap?
What did everyone do for it? I put oil on his head, let it sit and then I give him a bath and wash his hair, dry him up, dress him and then brush his hair/ head but by the time I get to brushing his hair its almost dry already. I also only do it twice a week because I only give two baths a week. Should I be doing it everyday and so I be brushing it while his scalp is still wet and did anyone use a mild dandruff shampoo. I have read in a few magazines about using it but I wasnt sure if it was too strong. Also how long does it last?

Re: Cradle cap?
I got rid of it by using a comb. I wet the girls hair & gently masaged their heads w. a baby comb. It takes a few attempts to get all of it.

Re: Cradle cap?
I know a bunch of moms on this board used dandruff shampoo, if you do a search you can find what kind.
I used olive oil, massaged & combed out the flakes - even when the hair is dry.

Re: Cradle cap?
Claire has this pretty bad and I had tried different oils with no success. Finally I got the gentle naturals cradle cap treatment from Ekerd, and I used a very fine tooth comb to comb it out and within 2-3 days it was all gone.
I highly recommend this stuff!

I rubbed olive oil in his dry hair and let it sit for a few minutes while he was in the highchair, combed it out with baby comb and had a bath right after. only thing that worked for us

Re: Cradle cap?
My mother works for Del Labs who actually puts out that product and she brought it home for me, I tried it today and it is slowly coming off. For the people that used the combs how did you go about using it, did you just run it really close to the scalp or did you use a baby bristle brush (I tried it but I didnt think it was really working). How often durning the week did you do this?

I put the gentle natural lotion on once a day in the evening right before her bath, let it sit a few minutes and then used the fine tooth comb to 'scrape' it off. A brush did nothing at all, I had to use the comb on her scalp, honestly she wasn't bothered by it at all, so don't be scared. It was gone in about 3 days.

Re: Cradle cap?
That's great that it is working. I used Nuetrogena T Gel shampoo (1-2 a week) with Kevin - it as the only thing that worked for him and I tried a bunch.
