Crashing: Anyone deliver at Southside Hospital?

Im having my baby there and was just wondering how your experience was and also if you took any of the classes that they offer there? TIA!

I delivered DS there... c-section. The entire maternity staff was AMAZING!!!! They were beyond helpful and accomodating to the needs of me and my DS. The lactation consultants, specifically Terry, were out of this world patient. Despite the fact that I had major surgery and was dealing with the whirlwind of just having had a child, I really enjoyed my stay there. Even the nursing assistant were wonderful. Southside gets such a bad wrap but I seriously can't say enough about how great the maternaity staff and wing was.

I didn't take any classes there, but did take the tour.... I recommend it... it will set your mind at ease.

I took no classes there. My doctors were Oakdale obgyn. I loved southside and loved the nurses. Each one of my stays were great.
I met my labor and delivery nurse at stop and shop a few weeks after my 4th was born. She was so cool and we chatted for a while. I can only speak for myself but all of my experiences were good ones.

I delivered there with DD & will be there again in Jan for DS
I had a wonderful experience with all the staff. They were very caring. I had planned on taking the breastfeeding class but It got postponed a week & i ended up having DD within that week.

I did take the tour & recommend it.

I just gave birth there 5 days ago with my third baby. They are fantastic! Very caring and understanding. The only negative is that sometimes there are some interesting characters in the waiting room (as was told to me by my family), but that has nothing to do with the care that I received. I had my first at St. Charles which was also nice but actually had nicer nurses at Southside both times. I didn't take any classes there.
