(crashing) flying in 1st trimester q
hi ladies, sorry to crash but thought I could get some info from you all! I am currently in the process of TTC (working with a RE). I was wondering if it is safe to fly only a few weeks pregnant? I was planning to try and see my cousin in Texas at the end of September for a long weekend...but if i am successful in TTC this cycle, I will not know if i am pg until a week before I leave.. Is it safe to fly during your first trimester? I googled it and i keep getting scared of people saying not to do it since there is a better chance of miscarrying.. but just wanted to hear your thoughts or experiences. TIA!!

I would imagine it's fine. I haven't flown anywhere myself since my BFP but I probably wouldn't think twice about it.

Absolutely! With my DD I flew every week from ovulation until OB made me stop at 32 weeks because of my job. No issues flying. Towards the end you have to be sure to walk around a lot and drink water, but not in the first half of pregnancy.

Yes. My Dr told me it is safe to fly and even deliver in air (not that you would want to). Unless you have some sort of complications there is no need to stay grounded. I flew to NC at 10 weeks. If it is a long flight I just suggest getting up and moving around during the flight.

totally safe... just opt out of the xray machine if you're in a line that has them (metal detector is fine)... remember to stay hydrated and walk around/stretch a lot!
eta: i flew to argentina before i knew i was pregnant, to st louis at 5 months and aruba at 6 months.
