cruises for 5?
It all depends on the cruise line. I prefer to sail out of Miami or Port Canaveral Florida opposed to New York. It’s usually 8 of us and the cruise alone runs around $3200 for 2 staterooms on Carnival and slightly higher on Royal Caribbean. We usually nail flights around $1800 on Jet Blue out of JFK. DH and I are cruising in May without our DC (22nd anniversary) and just for the 2 of us in a balcony with First Class flights on Delta is costing us the same price we pay for 8 for the cruise alone ???????

Rooms for 5 on a cruise are the most expensive because you need 4 beds (typically a queen, 2 pull downs, and a couch pull out or something. I would go on RCCL and price it out on maybe the Anthem of the Seas to get a ballpark figure.

Re: cruises for 5?
It’s costly for what you get.
Very few rooms that fit 5 & they charge per person (there are sometimes deal times, but kids need to miss school and with 3, odds are more than 1 will need to miss a fair amount of school). You can price it out on the websites. Try 2 rooms with 2&3 vs a room with 5.
Whenever I check the price for 5 for us, I just end up flying somewhere beach and staying at a nice place. I usually get about $6-10 quote for all of us including everything (range is depending on season). Contrast that to the fact that we once stayed at Haven for $6 for 4 (THAT was worth it). Disney Cruise has more rooms that fit 5 that are not so much more than a room for 4, but it’s out of Florida... so once you add flights, the price goes up a lot.
Plus, we are flexible with where we go so we hunt for a better bargain (nicer hotel for what we would spend).

Depending on when you go they may have some kids sail free promotions. You can do 2 adjoining cabins and it would likely be cheaper than a suite to accommodate 5.

cruises for 5?
I just booked Norwegian Escape out of NY for my family of 5. The room is on the 5th deck which is the bottom of the ship but the price wasn't horrible. The rooms are on the same deck as the kids clubs. This is the only room I can find that isn't a suite that will fit all of us. I looked at Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Norwegian. It cost $4,000 before I prepaid the gratuity and added insurance.

We’ve done Disney with our family of 5, think the price was around 6k, also royal Caribbean in a family suite, around 4K with kids free promo.
