Cycles less than 28 days - how short is too short?

Since coming off BC, my cycles are very regular, but averaging 26 days. Is that too short to be considered "normal?"

That's still within the range of normal. Mine are generally 26/27 days. I think short is under 25 days.

Does it mean that I O early or have a short LP?

It can mean either or those. You would have to figure out when you're ovulating to have a more "definite" answer.

I agree.

Just to give you an idea of how my cycle is- I generally O on day 13/14 and have a 12/13 day luteal phase. All is within healthy perimeters.

ITA with PPs.

It's not really about the cycle length - as long as you are ovulating and have a normal length LP, then you should be fine!

I have a LP on the shorter side. It's usually somewhere between 11 and 13 days. I have a child so you can definitely get pregnant with a shorter LP. In fact, I tested positive 9 DPO with my son so it can be even shorter than mine and you can still get pregnant.

I would use an OPK for one month to see how long your LP is to make sure it's not too short though.

Re: Cycles less than 28 days - how short is too short?

the luteal phase is what matters, not the cycle length

For example, my cycles were always 25026 days long but my LP was only 7-8 days (this is too short to maintain a pregnancy) so I went on clomid to regulate my lp...it worked

Good luck

My cycle is 25 days and I was able to get pg. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage, but it had nothing to do with my cycles.

ITA - this is the only way (other than temping - which gives you a definitive day in which you've O'd) you'll know how long your LP is... Under 13 days is cause for concern.
