i just started minocyclin, but i feel sick when i take it twice a day. does it make you feel funny? it gives me headsches and vertigo.
your skin looks flawless to me--are you on mino for acne?
Thanks...My acne hadn't been that bad since my teens, and then in the past 6 months I switched BC pills 5 times. My body was so out of whack...I gained about 8 lbs, my face was a mess....So my dermatologist put me on mino a few weeks ago. I wouldn't call my acne cystic, but it is tons worse than when I saw you. I also started a new job and have had some stressful things going on, but I think it was the BC hormones.

im not sure if this will work for cystic acne, but the best acne med i ever used was benzaclyn, my skin looks soooo good after using it, one week off it it looks like cr*p again
This worked for me asweel. FYI: my dermo said most OBGYN's allow this to be used during PG

I used to have it and the only thing that worked was accutane. The shots never worked for me.
I agree.
however- for the short term- for big ones, make a solution of VERY hot water with tons of salt in to- so it tastes like sea water and put that on the cyst. That will help it go down. I know it sounds wacked but my Doc suggested it & it works. Make it as HOT as you can take it.
Thank you Dina!!! I did it last night, and while I still got a shot today to be on the safe side, it really helped!!!!

I was taking 100mg a day once a day.
I can't use anything while TTC and had to stop the minocyn for a month before......
But I can get the shots periodically.
Minocyn was all that truly worked for me.....
no one has a miracle natural cure for me?
Are you recently off the pill? I had been on and off it for years without a huge difference in my skin, but the last time I went off, I got bad acne for a bit. It got better in a few months but I still have some acne. I would also like to find a cure! I used to use Retin-A and Differen but they make my skin so sensitive. And I cannot stand the various acne medications that bleach clothing. I have ruined towels, pajamas, sheets and even work clothes when using meds like Benzamycin.

Try minocyclin! i've been really happy with the results (other than the feeling weird side effect...but i am looking good while feeling dizzy!)
