daycare holiday gift spin-off
I recently changed my LO daycare in Sept- he is 19 months old So as of December he has been attending this new school for 3 months
I am confused on how much to spend on gifts for teachers. he has 2 after hour teachers whish is an hour each day- I was going to get a $10 cvs gift card to each
and he has 1 head teacher and 1 assistant how much is a decent amount to spend since he is still fairly new- and what would you get?
I do not want to look cheap, but at same time he hasn't been there that long
TIA

I don't think it matters how long he's been at the dc since most kids change classes in September anyway. I usually do about $25/teacher (for head and asst classroom teachers).

Re: daycare holiday gift spin-off
DS just got moved into his new room at the beginning of November and I am planning on giving $50 and some candy. I might also give a trinket gift from my DS as well (depending upon how ambitious I am - ha!). To the helpers, I give 5-10 depending on how much I see them in his room - I usually ask the director for specifics. To the morning lady (who is there for drop off), I plan on giving $15-20.
Although he hasn't been in the room long, I know that they take good care of him and do not make a lot so I like to show my appreciation.
I live upstate so I'm not sure if this is the going rate for LI.
Honestly, I think they appreciate anything. His old infant 1 teacher just got married and I gave her a card from my DS (he scribbled in it) and you'd think I gave her $100; she gave him a big hug!
