Daycare Moms

What did you use to label all your DC's clothes, blankets, diapers, wipes, bottles, etc. with? I have 2 weeks before DD starts daycare and realized how much I have to do to prep. I need to get a move on!

Re: Daycare Moms

I ordered labels from Stuckonyou.net but I think it will take more than 2 weeks for them to arrive.

Any labels will do and now I use a marker for the labels on his bibs since we go throw different once a lot.

A lot of the mom's at our daycare use PTouch labels

Re: Daycare Moms

I got a Sharpie "Rub a Dub" laundry marker...I label tags of clothing, and all of her wipes/diapers/bottles/etc.

It works well!!

I've also known people who put masking tape on the bottles with a permanent marker, but I just wrote right on the bottle.

Re: Daycare Moms

DS will be starting daycare in September. I ordered labels from www.babylabels.com. They are good for everything, from diapers, wipes, bottles, food to labeling the back of his clothes.

We just use a sharpie directly on her bottles and it works fine. I also use the sharpie to write her initials on the tags on all her cloths, bibs, etc.

I bought labels at staples and wrote with a sharpie on them for her diaper box, wipes, ointments, etc.

Thanks everyone! I will look into ordering labels but if it is too late I think a Sharpie will do! I am so sad I even have to think about this. I don't want to go back to work!!!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon

Our daycare has a rule about no stick on labels... apparently an older baby pulled it off the bottle and tried to eat it. So only sharpies for us.

We received our stuckonyou.biz labels today. They are really cute on top of being practical. It took exactly 2 weeks to arrive.

LOVE their labels! I had them on the bottles for months..ran them through the dishwasher with NO problems. Always stayed on. When I switched to cups, I took the labels off the bottles and most of them were re-usable on the cups and STILL stick to them after being put threw the dishwasher even more. Such great quality!!

Re: Daycare Moms

For his bottles, we used a sharpie and just kept writing over it when it would fade. For his clothes, we got a marker from Michael's that is used on clothes that doesnt run or fade.

Writing on the bottle - even with a sharpie, wears off - I do the masking tape thing! Chat Icon

For bottles, DD's daycare recommended writing their initials on the bottle with nail polish. Works great, does not come off in the dishwasher at all!!!

I use nail polish on so many things, like my own makeup, so I do not have to open the compacts to know what color is inside. I guess it's a good idea for bottles but then I think of the chemicals in the nail polish and I am not so sure. Sharpies on baby items are kinda freaking me out also. I just received my first order from stuckonyou. I was dissappointed that the "bag tag" was not customized but everything else looks great. The website was not clear about whether that item would be customized.

Re: Daycare Moms

P Touch labelmaker for everything. It's great! I use the 1/2 inch labels with a white background & black letters. I do not label her clothes- only the emergency clothes that I leave there. I use a sharpie.
