Daycare moms can you relate?
I hate the feeling that I am being rushed out of the center when I drop DD off. I am so uneasy about her being there to begin with, you'd think they'd make me feel a little more at ease. Luckily, the center is down the block from my job so I will be popping in like it or not.

Re: Daycare moms can you relate?
Actually, our center is really good at making us feel comfortable at being there whenever we want and hanging out playing with the kids, coming in to feed or talking to the ladies about the babies. I've never felt like I was being rushed out. In fact, I think the more people, the better for them because if you're there with your baby, that's one less they have to keep an eye on at that moment. It's your child and your money-stay as long as you like!

Re: Daycare moms can you relate?
I have not felt rushed in the morning (well I have but only to catch the train), I usually stay for a few minutes and talk to the teachers- I think having a good rapport with them is important.
Are they actually trying to rush you out? That would worry me, but maybe they're just busy in the morning and don't have time to talk. Also they should be fine with you stopping in during the day, if they seem annoyed at that, you should address that because they shouldn't have anything to hide.

They don't rush me out at all. I stay a few min. and like to talk to the teachers as someone else said I think it's important to build a rapport w/them. I like to watch and see how they are with all the children as well. There are times they are too busy to talk to me one on one for extended periods if other parents are coming in, but if it's just me in the classroom I try to engage them. I love hearing them tell me what Ryan did yesterday, etc. I probably stay 10-15 minutes most days. I stayed longer when he was an infant bc there was more stuff to bring in and write down, maybe 20-30 min. Sometimes I'd feed him the rest of a bottle when we got there if I had time before work.

I have never felt rush. I actually sit on the floor and play for about 10 minutes most mornings.
