Daycare/preschool moms-birthday party related
We invited DDs entire class to her B-day party-8 kids, plus their families.
I was secretly hoping some of them would decline, however none of them have even RSVPed and I gave tomorrow as the RSVP date.
She has 2 other friends from daycare that are not in her class and they are coming-I am friends with the moms, we get the kids together a lot so obviously if they hadn't RSVPed, I could have asked them/called them.
With these other kids, we haven't hung out outside of school and I do not have contact information for them. I won't be able to track down all of the parents-I will ask those I see but what do I do about the others?
If it was just 1 or 2 kids, it wouldn't be a big deal. But, with 8 kids plus moms/dads/siblings, I kind of need to know for food and goody bags and games.
Do I just assume they are not coming?
THis is the first party we are having for DD and I debated even inviting kids from daycare whom we don't see outside of "school". Now what do I do?
Thanks for any suggestions...

Does the pre-school have a contact list? ours gave us a list at the beginning of the year with the childs names, parents names, address and phone number.
Maybe contact the school and see if they will give you phone numbers otherwise I would assume they weren't coming, maybe order food for one of two kids incase.

I'd ask daycare for the contact info. If they won't give it out, do you have a daily sheet that you get with all the child's info on it? We get that at our daycare, so I would ask the teacher if she could write a little reminder note on the daily sheet for the other parents to RSVP to you ASAP.
Good luck

Ask the teacher if she can mention it to the parents.

I would ask the teacher to write a reminder on their daily sheet or ask if they will give contact info. Maybe wait until after tomorrow just in case people call the last minute

Re: Daycare/preschool moms-birthday party related
Well DD#1's school has a policy you are supposed to invite all the children - so we did (although I know many others did not). When the RSVP date came and went - everyone (1/2 of the invites) from OUTSIDE school had all RSVP'ed yes - only 2 people IN her class (out of 12) RSVP'ed no (and they did so by email - when I gave my cell phone as my contact to RSVP). It was uncomfortable but I ended up asking them all 2 weeks after the RSVP date when I picked DD up from school. If it was only 2 or 3 I would have let it go and had a favor for them just in case - but it was 10 people which was 1/2 the party.
It turned out 9 of them were planning on coming - 6 of them had the invite on their fridge they just forgot to tell me - one was a maybe and only told me 2 days before, and the rest just forgot to call but said they planned on coming.
Can you email them and just say something like I have to notify the place and haven't heard from you - did you get DC's invitation rather than saying they didn't RSVP?

Re: Daycare/preschool moms-birthday party related
We are making progress-got a response today! Only 7 more to go, maybe a couple more will come in between today and tomorrow.
I'll ask the teachers about leaving a note on the door/on their sheets or in cubbies starting on Thursday for anyone I don't hear from.
Thank you all for your suggestions!

I would type up a little reminder note and ask the teacher to attach it to their sheets.

Got another response! 6 more to go (and 2 of them are twins, so really only 5 people to hear back from tomorrow).
I'll work on my note for any stragglers for Thursday.
