Inviting daycare/preschool "friends" to DD's party

So, the party is on.

We are going to have DDs 3rd birthday party in our home (this is her first real birthday partyChat Icon ).

As I've said in other posts, it's the middle of August and we live in NC so it could be insanely hot the day of (as an example, today it was 98 degrees). Therefore, we are going to have it in the house.

We have a decent size house, but we will have to limit it somewhat.

DDs class is 14 kids.

I want this to be a family style party-it's not just for little kids. Some family will be here, our other friends and their kids will be here. Anyone I invite to the party from daycare I want to also invite their parents/siblings since everyone else will be here with their other kids/families.

I know not everyone will come, but if it is a perfect storm and everyone says yes, I can't fit them all in the house. So, I was trying to figure out how to cut the list from daycare.

Should I just invite the kids I know she plays with? Or maybe just the ones she has been in daycare with since she started there? Do I invite them all since a bunch will decline?

I would love to invite the whole class, I hate excluding anyone, but if they all came and brought their brothers/sisters it would be a mad house. If it was a backyard party it would be no problem, but inside is different.

Re: Inviting daycare/preschool "friends" to DD's party

I only invited DS's three "best friends".

On the invite I said "Logan wanted to have his three best friends there" and I named them.

That way the parents knew who else was invited and it didn't put them in an awkward situation in case they were friends with the other parents.

I also wrote "Adults are invited too!" in case they weren't sure, since I don't always see them.
