Re: Can we start a "DC's gifts for the Holidays" thread?

I think each daughter will get one big item this year. I don't want to overdo it and feel like we are really good to the kids throughout the year.

Carolyn will get the Melissa and Doug Puppet Theatre with Puppets and Lauren will get the Bright Starts Activity Center.

Re: Can we start a "DC's gifts for the Holidays" thread?

I bought Kristina so far....

about 5 books
i bought her letters and numbers for the tub
clothes
i got her External Image

i'm not going to go to crazy with the toys as i come from a large family, and i'm sure that with it being her 1st Christmas... everyone is going to overwhelm me with things....

i'm actually in the middle of creating her wish list on BRU, and i'm putting a lot of books and such on there w/minimal toys.

I am putting this on there, and I would love it if someone got it for her... External Image if not... there's always her 1st birthday which is less than 2 months after Christmas!

We are just starting so we haven't bought more than one or two things but this is what we bought or thinking of getting:

Elmo Live (DD saw it today at target and she was going crazy over it)
1 or 2 baby dolls (she loves to play with these)
a Step 2 kitchen
Playskool Clipo Creativity Table
Fisher-Price Little People Build n Fun Playground
Probably some other little people things
books
I want to get her an easel if I can find one that I like
maybe something else art wise she she seems to like to scribble these days

DS will be 16 months - almost 17 months at Channukah.
So far I have gotten the following for him:

Play Kitchen
Xylephone
Melissa and Doug Tool Kit
Melissa and Doug big knob puzzles
Sandra Boynton books
dinosaurs - about 30 in a big tube with a mat

I think I may get him a drum from music together.
I want to get him a basketball hoop and ball for the tub.

Re: Can we start a "DC's gifts for the Holidays" thread?

DS will be 7 months. DH and I are not going crazy, since we know that his grandparents and aunts & uncles are going to go crazy with him since it's his first Christmas!
We got him a Step 2 sled in the shape of a penguin- I so hope it snows a few times this winter so we can use it!
The Leapfrog learning table
The Fisher Price Laugh 'n Learn House

That's it so far- we will probably pick up a few more small things so he has a decent amount to open on Christmas morning.
