Re: DD was born with blue eyes?

Our ped told us that it usually happens within the first 6 months, but that it could take up to a year or two with some babies.

At 10m DS still has beautiful blue eyes & we're hoping they stay & don't change to hazel like we both have lol

Re: DD was born with blue eyes?

My ped said with BF babies- it could change after they stop being BF- weird right? I've heard it can change up to 2 years old.

DS has dark blue eyes, I have light blue and DH has green- so who knows where his color will wind up.

WOW, I had no clue that it could take that long to change!!!! I have brown eyes and so does almost everyone in my family - except my dad who has hazel eyes (which I love by the way) . My DH's family all have blue and green eyes so I would love for DD eyes to remain the beautiful dark blue that she was born with and not turn brown!!!! I guess I will just have to wait and see Chat Icon

DS was about 2 years old when his eyes finally stopped changing. He was born with dark blue. Then they went light then they went dark again then they were grey then hazel and finally, a light brown. Chat Icon

Our ped said they could change up to 2 years old. Both of my DDs were born with blue eyes. At 2.5 DD#1 still has blue eyes. I'm not sure if DD#2's eyes will change (she is almost 5 months).

Not necessarily, my nephew was born with bright blue eyes, blue till right before he turned 2. On his 2nd birthday they were green as can be. Still green at 5 years old.

DS was born with light blue eyes, light blue till about 15/16 months. At 17 months they're now getting darker and less blue. I don't know if they're going to stay a dark blue/gray or turn brown or hazel, but they're definitely changing.

For those of you who had DC with dark blue eyes that changed to brown, did you see any brown to begin with or were they initially totally brown? My DD has dark blue eyes but there isn't a speck of brown in them. Could they still go brown?

DS was born with slate blue eyes. I didn't see any brown in them, just blue and grey. I thought he'd end up with hazel eyes but at 4 months old they are now cocoa brown.

Re: DD was born with blue eyes?

DS was born with dark blue eyes, they are now closer to my color blue (a bit lighter) and I'm hoping they stay blue. He's 9.5 months old.

I had heard they can definitely change until they are 2, though.

Re: DD was born with blue eyes?

DS had crystal blue eyes until a little after 6 months. they turned a blue/green and are now, at 2, hazel.

DD at 8 months still has blue eyes. i know there's still time for them to change, but i hope they don't

Re: DD was born with blue eyes?

My oldest daughter was born with blue eyes and had them until 7-8 months old when they changed to green. Then when she was around 1 1/2 years old they changed from green to brown.

Re: DD was born with blue eyes?

If they have DARK blue eyes, they usually end up changing - if their eyes are light, they usually stay.

My Ped said the closer you get to a year the more likely they will stay about the same color. DS was born with blue and he will be 1 tomorrow and they are still just as blue as the day he was born.
