I would never want to find out. I don't like surprises but that is the one thing I would not want to know.

I totally agree!

Re: Death Question

I would not want to know. I have enough anxiety about death & this would only add to it.

Re: Death Question

Yes. I am not a planner, but as others have said, if I knew when it was, I wouldn't put off the things that I said I'd get to one day.
Saying "I love you" to my honey is what I would want my last conversation to be, and not "I'm going out for some coffee" or something to that effect.

Re: Death Question

No. I would fixate on that date and countdown to it, rather than make the most of my days.

Yeah, I would do the same thing. That is something I absolutely would NOT want to know. Every day I would be like "I only have X number of days left." I think it would make me very depressed.

Re: Death Question

Yes, I would want to know. If it's in the near future, I could prepare family and friends so it wouldn't come as a huge shock and I could try to accomplish everything that I want to accomplish. If it was decades away, I'd know that I'd have lots of time to enjoy my life.

Re: Death Question

I think I'd want to know. I already try to make sure everyone important to me knows exactly how I feel about them but experience wise, there's too much stuff I haven't done.

Re: Death Question

Yes, because I would want to make sure I took care of everything before I left so my family wouldn't have the burden.

Re: Death Question

I would want to know so i could plan accordingly.

My dad died at 52 of a sudden massive stroke. He was a big saver...saved for retirement and always thought he would do "X" tomorrow. His time ran out and he could have really enjoyed life instead of worrying about the future.

No.

If I died tomorrow, I'd be ok with it. I've had a great time, traveled, did everything I've ever wanted, made ammends for the things I thought I should have.
